In the early days of 1/0, I told Barnacle Jones that I was starting a comic strip in order to facilitate the picking up of chicks. This was mostly tongue in cheek at the time.
I have discovered, though, that having a hobby is very good for you. Before 1/0, I didn't have much in the way of extracurricular activities. I surfed the net, I watched TV, I went to school... and that was pretty much it.		The theory is, then, that this monumental undertaking has built character, and character will, in the long run, be the deciding factor in the picking up of a chick.
1/0 is the first -- and only -- major project I ever undertook strictly of my own volition. It was not a school project. I was not goaded into it by my friends. Mom and Dad did not help me (aside from, of course, providing the computer.... and room and board for twenty odd years).
