It's a great waste of time, easily my favourite online game. If you've never been there (and why not?), whatsbetter.com basically gives you a set of two things-- any two things-- and you're forced to pick which item of the two is "better"... any way you care to define "better". Are kittens better than the Beatles? Is Rush Limbaugh better than hazelnuts? Is a cartoon lamb better than insomnia? It's brilliant in its incoherency.

To me, the site is a great post-modern statement, a shameless proclamation that all human value judgements are inherently arbitrary, the more potent for being so implicit.
And, furthermore, I know it must be cool, since my Mom doesn't get it.
